EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State athletics department has revealed the winning design for the 2008 football student section t-shirt. This design received more than 49 percent of the total vote on msuspartans.com.

Students will be able to pick up their t-shirt at the Spartan Spirit event held Aug. 21, at the Spartan Bookstore during welcome week, and outside the student gate prior to the first home football game. The shirts will be available to the public in a majority of the local bookstores and fan shops in mid-August.

A portion of the proceeds from the public sale will benefit the Spartan Spirit groups, including the MSU Cheerleaders, the MSU Dance Team, and Sparty.

The front of the shirt reads "Michigan State Football" with a Spartan head logo and Nike football graphic, while the back script, over a picture of The Spartan statue, reads "We Are One, We Are United, We Are Spartans, Michigan State University."
